Wheel of Fortune starts 2011 with a bang on Monday, 1-3-2011.

Pat Sajak is captivated by contestant/comedian Heather Simms.  

Over the last couple of decades Pat Sajak has become complacent in his role as game show host on Wheel of Fortune. His after show chit chat with Vanna White often leaves us flat.  On the first show of 2011 we got to catch a glimpse of what an inspired host Pat Sajak can be when he is properly motivated.  The chemistry between Pat and contestant Heather Simms is undeniable.

Heather Simms is a retired comedian from Chi Town still searching for her calling and she might just be a rising star today if she could be found ‘where’s your facebook page’?

Clearly she tickles Pat Sajak ‘s funny bone in all the right places.  Does America agree with Pat when he tells Heather that she should not give up comedy? Sure looks like it to us Pat, Ms. Simms lit up the show and Pat with an excitement Wheel of Fortune left behind a long time ago.

Could this be the time to replace Vanna White? With Heather Simms? Of course America traditionally supports the national treasure in Vanna White but when the show has become so uninspired isn’t it time to consider giving Wheel of Fortune the shot in the arm it deserves? We all deserve? We can’t feel bad for Vanna, she'll live in high comfort for the rest of her life….. … Heather Simms can’t afford graduate school.

Over all no one stood out at the 61st TV Emmy’s award show. Everyone played it safe and boring and the few who didn’t…..should have. What happened that the fashion at the 2009 Emmy’s fell so short? Rachael is sorely missed after having quit glee to be in “Cabaret”. Freak boy Jacob Ben enjoys a perverted scheme to interview Rachel in hopes that she will show him her breasts which spills over into an argument until they get interrupted by geezer queen Sandy Reyerson. Finn is finding out that being in glee club has more perks then he knew and scholarships are given out to members. So we now have to endure lover boy Finn who knows Rachel likes him use her up to get ahead in life. Another tough lesson at the school of hard knocks and hard knocking up. How far will he go to hurt our girl and how much more hurt does our girl have to go through. Rachel’s character does seems like a rip on ugly Betty but we can hope that in “Glee” our unlikely heroine will have lots of days in t he sun but not after her share of down pours.<< MORE >>

Glee is a delight! The definition of delight is ‘glee‘ coincidence? This show has it all……..great musical soundtrack, self deprecating humor, obsessive compulsive disorder, short skirts, teen’s kissing, dry humping, great voices and a hysterical pregnancy! All this while “Glee” tugs away at our heart strings. Jane Lynch is the ‘lynch pin’ that binds “Glee”. She addicted us to her long ago as the most irreverent of psycho therapists on “Two and a Half Men” and the unimpassioned, unaffected sexual surrogate on “Boston Legal” to mention but a few. Jane Lynch Jane Lynch is the diva of deadpan who has been the master of her game for decades and on Glee she remains unapologetic, apathetic, and cold blooded. As we anticipate “Vampire Diaries” we can’t help but wonder how it stacks up against the magic that is True Blood. But we know that not all vampire stories are the same and Vampire Diaries is like Gossip Girl only with vampires. It’s a good vs. evil story where girl meets boy. Or in one of it’s few similarities to “True Blood“ two boys vie for the affection of one girl. The opening scene grabs you and drags you right in with a car accident that turns into a double murder by what appears to be a vampire. Mystic Falls is a sleepy small town with a mysterious tortured history that still resonates with some residents. We meet high school students Elena and her brother Jeremy who are still reeling from the death of their parents four months earlier. Elena copes by journaling (in a cemetery) and Jeremy copes with excessive alcohol consumption.<< MORE >>
